Job requirements:
- Must have extensive knowledge in one of the following content areas: News, Sports, Entertainment, Gaming, Technology, and/or other related internet content.
- Bachelor’s Degree in any field
- A minimum of at least 2 years experience working on an editorial web site is an advantage
- Some experience in a print, editorial or online publishing position is preferred
- Ability to multi-task and shows a mature approach to deadlines
- Must be well organized and analytical, with an eye for detail
- Fast learner, team player, self starter, able to handle multiple tasks and flexible attitude
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Photoshop
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent rewriting skills, great captions, heads and story structures. Commitment to editorial excellence and accuracy of content.
- Computer literacy and aptitude for using internet.
- Direct report to Portal Manager.
- Stays alert of local and international news and creates daily highlight on MSN News channel.
- Manage and monitor on responsible channels to ensure its content updates and engage users.
- Support Portal Manager on channel strategic direction and content business plan and responsible on channel architecture, content and designs in order to optimize the MSN user experience and achieve channel objectives.
- Manage and co-ordinate with content providers and freelances to ensure that content are delivered and meet channel Job requirements.
- Understand and manage editorials, articles on own responsible channel to ensure that all content conforms to style and content guides and meet KPIs (Unique visitors, Page views and Page per visit).
- Work to develop and improve channel.
- Work closely to provide editing support to other teams as needed.
