Job Responsibilities:
Position Overview: The Web Designer / UI Designer is responsible for interpreting marketing input and then creating and producing the look and layout of individual Web pages, banners, e-mails and overall look and feel of all PC Mall sites. Design user interfaces for websites & web-based applications including visual look & feel, graphics, styles, navigation and layout. The goal is to create and produce effective Internet advertising that will increase sales. Formulate ideas on how we can improve our buy-through conversion by enhancing our user interface designs and integrate company branding into world-class eCommerce websites. Most ads are developed within a template and style-driven framework.
Key Work skills:
- Graphics Design
- Able to create banner ads and other creative online marketing pieces for websites using applied graphic design principles. Work with team to proactively assess needs and recommend solutions to create an effective internet marketing strategy. Can produce unique and intuitive designs that appeal to mainstream audiences.
- User Interface Design.
- Able to design visually attractive interfaces and web pages based on principles of design and usability. Create fluid e-commerce initiatives.
- Approaches design conceptually and think about interaction systems, not just screens.
Technical work skills:
- Proficient in latest design tools (Photoshop, Quark, Indesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Flash)
- Experience in JavaScript, HTML, Photoshop, Illustrator, Image Ready, GoLive, Dreamweaver, DHTML and Flash
- Must have good understanding of backend functionality and Flash ActionScript2.0/3.0 is a plus
- Knowledge of XHTML, CSS, Javascript, XML, and related web technologies.
Job Qualifications:
- 2+ years of web experience
- A strong portfolio of work
- Prefer at least a Bachelors Degree in Web/Graphic Design or Advertising
- Strong conceptual and visual design work skills, typography, color and layout.
- Extensive experience in optimizing/compressing graphic
- Must have a strong knowledge of user interface design principles, user experience, user-centered design processes, interaction design guidelines, usability methodologies, industry standards and trends, and platform standards.
- Solve problems conceptually and approach them with a desire to innovate
- Is highly organized and detailed orientated.
- Demonstrate individual initiative while being a team player
- Can work independently with little direct supervision
- Ability to translate feature concepts into wireframe schematics, functionality flows, site maps, and business requirement documents.
- Be able to develop storyboards, mock-ups and prototypes to communicate ideas for navigation and interaction models.
- Participate in the development of creative solutions to user experience challenges.
- Experience with creating and maintaining large e-commerce sites preferred.
- Flexible and willing to learn new things.

Job Requirements:
- Job candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Art/Design/Creative Multimedia, Advertising/Media or equivalent.
- Required language(s): English.
- At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Job applicants must be willing to work in Mandaluyong City.
- Job applicants should be Filipino citizens or hold relevant residence status.
- Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employees specializing in Arts/Creative/Graphics Design or equivalent.
