Job Responsibilities and Description:
- The Flash Programmer / Graphic Designer is an intermediate-level individual producer within the Business Development family. Incumbent will possess a general working knowledge of ACS's existing and/or potential commercial client base and their information technology needs. This individual will operate under the supervision of senior-level business development staff and represent ACS to designated clients. Revenue is generated through strategic and/or tactical marketing efforts; that is, identifying and developing leads into viable business opportunities and/or making clients aware of ACS technical and professional capabilities and existing individual contract vehicles, respectively. Position involves considerable interaction with ACS client base and continual awareness of internal and external factors that may affect revenue generation.
- Explains the limitations of the web-based tools
- Suggests graphic design ideas to compliment content
- Creates new graphic design images or tools to meet the training need
- Applies visual design guidelines to transform the information into a aset of fully designed user interface pages
- Defines the user interface, including color use guidelines, typographical standards and visual hierarchies
- Creates innovative and usable images and icons to enhance the web-based programs
- Develops innovative and usable designs and optimizes all visual elements for the production environment to ensure fast downloads, web-safe colors, etc.
- Works with multiple media styles to support the look, sound, and feel of CCLDC content
Job Requirements:
- Job applicants must be detail oriented individual with specialized knowledge in the Graphic Design area.
- Conscientious worker who can thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities sometimes change quickly.
- Team-oriented individual who works well with others, but can complete assignments independently with little or no direct supervision based on detailed criteria.
- Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent work Job experience.
- 3 - 5 years progressively more responsible Job experience in technical/professional services environment, demonstrating familiarity with a broad range of publication assignments.
- Job experience creating online content using images, Flash engines and templates for web applications.
- Must have proficiency using print/web publishing softward, inlcuding but not limited to the Microsoft City office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), Macromedia Flash, ActionScript, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat and Sony Sound Forge.
- Job experience with XML is a plus
- Job applicants must currently reside in the metro
